Mexico will face Paraguay
The first round showed that Mexico had grown in confidence and level of play after they beat Brazil 2-0 in their opening match.

Paraguay showed great scoring prowess in their first two games, and they seem like a group of players that are all going towards the same goal.

The good results for Mexico have allowed coach Hugo Sanchez to rotate his players in this America Cup, so all of his players will be match fit for the game against Paraguay.

Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino gave the majority of his starters rest in the game against Argentina.

Hugo Sanchez has stated that he wants to beat Paraguay in the 90 minutes, but he also said he was not scared of the penalty shootout.

The only doubt that Paraguay has is whether or not to start Salvador Cabañas, after having a fabulous first round. However, Martino believes that Cabañas is more dangerous when he comes in to close the games.

Probable Starters:

Mexico: Oswaldo Sánchez; Rafael Márquez, Johnny Magallón, Fausto Pinto, Israel Castro; Ramón Morales, Jaime Correa, Gerardo Torrado, Andrés Guardado; Nery Castillo and Omar Bravo. TD Hugo Sánchez.

Paraguay: Aldo Bobadilla; Darío Verón, Julio César Cáceres, Paulo da Silva; Carlos Bonet, Cristian Riveros, Edgar Barreto, Aureliano Torres; Jonathan Santana; Roque Santa Cruz and Oscar Cardozo o Salvador Cabañas. TD Gerardo Martino
