Argentina is the only team coming into the semifinals having won every game they have played. They have scored thirteen goals and only received three. They have shown great play.

Argentina coach Alfio Basile only has Hernan Crespo available for the game, and most likely will be replace by Carlos Tevez..

Argentina decided to stay in Barquisimeto after their 4-0 thrashing of Peru, but they traveled on Tuesday morning to Puerto Ordaz for their semifinal clash. Basile is preparing his players for what most likely will be the hardest game they have played.

Mexico, led by Hugo Sanchez, had two victories, and a tie in the first round.

They then thrashed Paraguay 6-0 in the quarterfinals, but it is true that the red card received by the Paraguayan keeper changed the course of the game.

The only doubt Hugo Sanchez has will be whether or not Nery Castillo will be able to play. His left knee ligament began to get inflamed.

Castillo has been training by himself, and according to the doctor he will be a game time decision.

Oswaldo Sanchez also picked up a knock. He got a cut on his forehead after crashing into a goal post during a training session, however it should not stop him from starting.

Probable Starters:

Mexico: Oswaldo Sánchez; Israel Castro, Rafael Márquez, Johnny Magallón, Fausto Pinto; Ramón Morales, Jaime Correa, Gerardo Torrado, Andrés Guardado; Nery Castillo or Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Juan Carlos Cacho. TD: Hugo Sánchez.

Argentina: Roberto Abbondanzieri; Javier Zanetti, Roberto Ayala, Gabriel Milito, Gabriel Heinze; Juan Sebastián Verón, Javier Mascherano, Sebastián Cambiasso; Juan Román Riquelme; Lionel Messi and Carlos Tévez. TD: Alfio Basile.
