Venezuela had only one medal in the Bejijing games, a bronze medal to Dalia Contreras Rivero in Taekwondo.

The Dominican Republic is the first in our list with a gold medal. The country had a gold medal in boxing with Felix Diaz and silver in taekwondo with Yulis Gabriel Mercedes.

Mexico is one of the surprises on the list. The country had only 3 medals in Beijing. It won two gold medals in taekwondo with Guillermo Perez and Maria del Rosario Espinoza and a bronze medal in synchronized diving for Paola Espinosa and Tatiana Ortiz.
