Dunga has a big test

The Brazilian National Team will have their first big challenge since losing against France in World Cup 2006. In Venezuela the Brazilian side, with a renovated squad, will look to make its peace with their fans and try to bring home the championship.

Aside from the challenge, Brazil will go on the pitch looking for their eighth South American title, and with that confirm their dominance in the continent over the last decade. Brazil in the last four edition of the America Cup have won three and finished sixth in the other.

Proven players that had a dismal World Cup 2006 performance, like Cafu and Roberto Carlos, were left out of Dunga's squad.

Coach
Dunga
Since Dunga took over the Brazilian side on June, 24 2006, he has not had to partake in any official tournament. Up to this point he has only coached friendlies: nine in total (seven victories, one draw, and one loss). The 43 year old ex-midfielder Dunga has no previous coaching experience, he is looking for his first title in Venezuela.
The Star
Ronaldinho
He is an idol at his club Barcelona, but on the national team he is constantly criticized. Voted as the best player in the world twice, Ronaldinho is looking to silence critics in this edition of the America Cup. He has won the tournament on two other occasions, in 1999 where he scored a beautiful goal against Venezuela and in 2004.
