Teams

Looking for another title

Before, Colombia, Venezuela, and Bolivia fought for the title of worst team in South America. However, since the end of the 70's the situation has changed a lot. Now Colombia is one of the stronger sides in South America.

Colombia won the 2001 America Cup having a memorable showing, thus confirming their good form. On the other hand, they were left out of the last two World Cups, and they ended in fourth place while defending their America Cup Crown in 2004.

In order to prove that their last results were just flukes, Colombia will take to Venezuela a squad that mixes youth and experience. If the second title seems far, one can expect surprises for the favorites.
