Even though he is still quite young, the German federation had no doubts giving Jurgen Klinsmann the responsibility of coaching the national team in a World Cup where Germany wants to recover a crown they have not touched in 16 years.

Germany expects Klinsmann to convince his players to do what he used to do on the pitch. He was the star of the national team when they won the World Cup in Italy 90, and he also played in USA 94 and France 98.

In July 2004 he was given the coaching spot in the national team, but since he didn’t have to qualify, he has only competed in the Confederations Cup where his team ended up in 3rd place.
