Culture
Goethe, Bach, Beethoven. There is a long tradition of culture in Germany. Among today’s names are the painter Gerhard Richter, the movie director Fatih Akin, and as a sample of current German culture, there is even German hip-hop. Culture in Germany arises from its inhabitants’ serene collaboration and tolerant ability to coexist.

Musicals in Hamburg, modern ballet in Wuppertal, contemporary painting in Berlin, or theater in Weimar. All of Germany is deeply interested in art and culture. Each year more than 35,000 people attend more than 100,000 theater performances and more than 7,000 concerts. But if going to see a new version of Goethe’s Faust or listening to another rendition of Beethoven’s symphonies does not interest you, you can always visit one of the 6,000 musems located throughout the country and enjoy German art, from the earliest to the most current.
