For South Americans, Tegal

The city of Berlin has three airports: Tegal, Tempelhof and Schonefeld.

The first one has the most activity. Those coming to Germany from South America will be received at Tegal Airport.

The second one, Tempelhof, is located South of Berlin and receives visitors from most of Eastern Europe.

Lastly, Schönefeld is located 12.4 miles from Berlin and is used mostly for charter and domestic flights.

Not so Warm

As in the rest of Germany, the weather in Berlin is mild. Average low temperature in the city is 30º F in winter and the high is 65º F in summer .

Many Options

The tourist in Berlin has an extensive Culturel repertoire. The city has three Opera facilities, two concert facilities, 35 theatres and more than 170 museums.

Berlin's architecture is also impressive. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it is possible to observe vanguard constructions with enormous, modern buildings called "glass towers ".

The city is also home to events such as the Phylarmonic, the Berlin Film Festival, better known as "Berlinale" and the musical "Cats". One of the major gay parades in the world, the "Christopher Street Day (CSD)", also takes place in the German capital.

A True Paradise

The shopping tourist will feel very pleased in Berlin. The city is a true shopping paradise. You can find everything in the 2.7 mi of Boulevard Kurfürstendamm, or in the more than 120 stores at Potsdamer Platz.

Another place that is very frequented by avid shoppers is Boulevard Unter den Linden. There you will find the only Galeries Lafayette branch outside France.

Berlin is also rich in diversity within the area of entertainment. The Theater des Westens, the Wintergarten, the Deutsche Oper or the famous cabarets, enliven the thousands of tourists who visit the city.

Hertha Berlin

Passion for soccer is a Berlin trait. The local club is the Hertha Berlin and one of the fans' two biggest stars is the Brazilian forwarder Marcelinho Paraíba, formerly from Sao Paulo and Gremio.

Multiple Facilities

Berlin has an excellent interlinked transport service. With approximately US$ 2, you can ride for two hours, as many times as you want, in buses, subways and trains that travel throughout the city.
