Goethe's House: birth house of the greatest German writer
Römerberg: old center of Frankfurt
Römer: city hall since the beginning of the 15th century
Imperial Hall: hall venue where banquets for German emperors and kings were held
Imperial Cathedral: where ten German kings were crowned
Historischer Garten: Roman excavations from the 1st century A.C.

Main Guard Building (Hauptwache): baroque building that used to be a prison and home to the old Municipal Guard

Commerzbank: built by famous Architect Sir Norman Foster in 1997. The nine gardens incorporated in the upper levels of this building make it very special.
Judengasse/Börneplatz: the excavations in the Judengasse (Jews' alley) in Frankfurt show the remains of the typical ghetto construction, including a Mikwe.
Saalgasse: here, in 1986, leading architects were able to refurbish medieval blocks of houses in the 80's style. This group of houses is considered a paradigm of post-modern architecture |
